Vox CS:GO Heading to CGPL Finals

With the team set to compete at ESL One Cologne mid-season we had a helping hand from the admins of CGPL who allowed Vox to churn out as many games as they could before they left to ensure that they got all of their group stage games completed before the final buzzer sounded and the finalists were announced. The team managed to get 5 games completed before they left for Germany, which left two games remaining on our return to get back into the swing of Australian CS and secure our place at the finals.

The team had a stellar season overall going undefeated in the win/loss category with only a map loss to Qlimax Crew stopping the team from racking up a "perfect season". Let’s take a look at our matches and the results heading into the finals:

Control ESport 2-0 Victory
Avant Garde 2-0 Victory
Noxious Gaming 2-0 Victory
Qlimax Crew 2-1 Victory
Athletico 2-0 Victory
Team Immunity 2-0 Victory
Infamous 2-0 Victory

With our regular season completed the team will walk into the CGPL final with a big target on our back, in fact first up due to their 4th place overall finish, the team will face down Qlimax Crew who did take a map off the team heading into the finals series. It will be a tough match as the team of strong young players lead by veteran Snakew0w will look to topple us from the top of the leader board and send us home.

On the other side of the bracket Team Immunity will face off against Avant Garde, who during the season went down to immunity 2-0 but will be looking for redemption as the Avant Garde team features a spattering of the regulators team who took everyone out to win the last online league season.

It’s going to be a great days gaming, so head on down to Australian Technology Park on the 19th of October and watch the boys in action as they fight to maintain their undefeated on LAN record and re-secure their place as the undisputed #1 team in Australian Counterstrike.
